Big Tree Soil Solutions is on a mission to serve high quality compost teas and extracts, teaming with life and vitality, to gardens, farms, landscapes and lawns, making soil health more easily attainable to the everyday backyard gardener and farmer.

Eric has always loved nature and grew up camping, dirt biking, quadding and having as much fun in nature as he could. When his dad started a commercial composting business in Kelowna, he was always getting his hands dirty, helping out as much as he could. He loved being outside, so naturally, he made landscaping his career and did so for over 10 years until he decided to move to Nakusp with his wife and dogs and start a new chapter, making compost tea! In 2021 he completed the Soil Food Web Foundation Courses at Dr. Elaine's Soil Food Web School to learn in depth about all the microbes and how to use his microscope to identify what types of microbes he's working with. He is very passionate about soil health and all its benefits for your garden as well as the planet!

One of Courtney's fondest memories is hanging out on the farm with Eric's family, brewing up a big batch of compost tea to experiment on their gardens with. She finds all of natures ecosystems so fascinating and loves learning how beneficial all the life in the soil is for the plants, the air, our health and ultimately the planet! Courtney mostly handles all the admin aspects of the business but loves gardening and composting too!
